From 1973 to 1975, Mr. Stellute served as Assistant City Attorney in Hampton, Virginia. In 1975, he entered into private practice as a personal injury and criminal defense attorney. Mr. Stellute served as President of the Hampton Bar Association in 1996. Joseph J. Stellute, a native of Hampton, Virginia, received a Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary in 1968 and then a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis in 1972. He was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1973.
